Thanksgiving Look Pt. 1

Guess who has two thumbs and an upper respiratory infection? This gal right here! The fact that I have been sick twice this year annoys me to no end, since I pride myself on having an immune system made of steel. Anyone else out there feeling my pain? Feel free to comment any tried and true at home recipes and cures you've found that work! I'm researching for natural ways to combat the common cold instead of pumping my body full of meds.

On to the real reason you're here...my Thanksgiving Look Pt. 1 is now live! For the next few posts I'll be sharing some of my favorite Turkey Day looks that are perfect for feasting and fellow-shipping in style. Comfort is key, so naturally I usually opt for super soft leggings, or a pretty flowy dress (ya know, to hide that food baby I'm so proud of).

Look numer one features tartan leggings. The material is thick so you don’t feel like you’re wearing leggings as pants so much. These are the perfect staple piece to have on hand during the holidays because they just go so dang well with everything! I’ve linked a couple of look-a-likes below and on my Like to Know it page for ya!

This sweater from Zara is all sold out, but I linked plenty of dupes and some of my favorite styles as well. I love a good 2-in-1 layered sweater. It’s all the charm, but half the work. You could wear this style with jeans and pumps for a GNO, but I love it contrasting with the red plaid.

My wedge boots are tried-and-true oldies of mine but I found an identical style that I linked for you guys below! Seriously so comfortable, it’s like you’re not even wearing a heel. I wear these with everything from jeans to tights and a dress!

A fantastic statement necklace is what really makes this outfit. Collared shirts and chunky necklaces just go together..Pair it with a casual envelope clutch (to keep all those envelopes in) and you’re good to go! I really prefer a clutch to tag along with me to holiday festivities because no one likes a bulky bag getting in the way of all the meeting and greeting and hugging you’re going to be doing. Spaces are limited when it comes to friend and family gatherings, so make it easier on yourself and opt for the cute clutch or mini purse!

At the end of the day, Thanksgiving is about feasting and fellowshipping with those we care most about. It’s eating your weight in scrumptious desserts and third-helpings of mac ‘n’ cheese and turkey. But it’s also styling an outfit that’s food-baby friendly, comfortable, and representative of your taste. Check back soon for the next Thanksgiving look on the blog.
