Three Weddings with Chicwish
Hey gals! Today on the blog I’m sharing three different wedding looks with Chicwish. For years I’ve loved Chicwish and their collection of classic, feminine clothes. With summer weddings in full swing, one of my most heavily requested topics is what to wear. Wedding guest attire can be a tricky thing to navigate, particularly if your invite doesn’t specify the level of dress. For example, semi-formal, cocktail, casual, black tie, etc. And even if your invite does specify, what is the level of appropriateness for each wedding? Each bride’s taste? Each venue? Keep reading to see three looks that will take you through every style wedding in the book.

The Summer Casual
Say hello to this striped candy-colored maxi, bedecked with all the tassel details you could want. I love this maxi because it’s perfect for those stifling summer outdoor ceremonies as well as the destination beach weddings. Since the dress speaks for itself, accessories can be kept to a minimum. Sandals or wedges are a perfect option for this look, so comfort is key. The empire waist is completely flattering on all body types and the straps are self-tie so they can be adjusted. If your invite says casual, you can be sure that this maxi ticks all the boxes.
The Elegant Classic
A wonderful option for that classic, elegant wedding you’ve been invited to. This midi dress is pleated from the waist and features a tasteful lace insert at the waist that shows just a hint of skin—which is necessary for “ventilation” in these summer months. I like to think of this dress as my go-to for a classic church ceremony-banquet hall reception. It’s a gorgeous sage green color, and pairs perfectly with a metallic clutch and earrings. If your invitation suggests semi-formal, this midi is a quintessential balancing act.
The Swanky Affair
Last but not least (and my personal favorite) is this stunning navy jumpsuit. If you follow me on Instagram and watched my try on session, you know that I advised to size down in this jumpsuit and tailor it in the waist if possible. I love the ruffle detail on the bust and the wide leg pants lend an extra dash of sophistication to it! The jumper alone is elegant enough, plus you can dress it up more with a clutch and stilettos (as I did). If you’re attending a cocktail attire preferred wedding, this swanky jumpsuit will have you looking the part.
